a dramatic moment. I was lucky to capture it from our bedroom window. Like much of the construction carried out here, it was dangerous. Long ladders were used, instead of cherry-pickers, just as I’ve seen them do in India. Not surprisingly, the construction workers were themselves Indian.

The owner, I forget his name, showing one of the workers how to dismantle rusted joints, at a guess. They say that he paid a million pounds to Wooster and Williams

  1. Good to see a building being restored and reused. Here in the USA it’d be tear down a perfectly fine building that was built better than those of today and replace it with modern cheap (but financilly expensive) construction.

    (wow! is that a run on sentence!)
