A nerd’s prayer answered

after installing this, I can do anything and everything with Access, Excel, especially if I open Developer Tools, which it offered just this minute while adding the caption, Weirdly wonderful. Now I’ll be really out of my depth

I’ve been trying to restore some of my old creative skills based on CorelDraw 6 (as mentioned in my last post) and Microsoft Access, which was used to create My Diary as a read-only app offered free to readers of this blog. I’d tried to download Access free, but it didn’t work, being stuffed with adverts or rejected by Google as unsafe. Also the online consensus seemed to indicate that it is problematic in Windows 11.

It turns out not to be the case. I’ve got a box of old CDs and DVDs in a shoebox almost out of reach above my desk. There’s a beautiful copy of Office 2003 and it works first time to allow editing of My Diary, and hopefully allow the production of a read-only version that you can download and use.
