I’m just learning how to use these chalks (oil pastels), but was quite pleased at the result. We sat on a rug with a hedge behind us, and I peered over the ripening wheat field—in case you can’t recognise it— to view this scene.
Fine work Vincent makes me jealous for those oil pastels, I use to enjoy them too. Craypas was the brand I had, many different sets and colors. This is terrific, and how good can it get? Keep going, it gets better and better, you get deeper and deeper into it. Oh, how I love it, how I miss it.Beautiful colors and a great creation Vincent. Thanks for the sip of wine.
Vincent, I just took a look close up, that is great, really great selection of detail, you have a good 'picture sense', keep following your instincts, the details are fine, really finely chosen and used.I have a new art site for a student of mine, http://fsportfolio.blogspot.comcheck it out, there are a couple of oil pastels in there somewhere.
Jim, your praise is too effusive, you've only seen two! But welcome all the same and Renée, thank you so much, I listened to your hauntingly beautiful composition, First Thing in the Morning and the lyrics are so inspired too. I repeat the link above because your site gave me an error which I could only get round by going into debug mode.
drawing and painting are a wonderful way to appreciate the world afresh, while renewing the spirit. I congratulate and envy you – lovely and evocative scene.
